Purpose of this job (or Department Overview):
Senior Brand Manager (SBM) is the “guardian of the brand”. SBM is responsible for understanding and researching the marketplace, developes marketing and advertising strategies and annual plan to drive awareness, trial and engagement .
Together with CMO sets short and medium term objectives, is responsible for new products and packaging development and manages annual marketing budget. Senior Brand Manager leads entire marketing team through 3 direct reports.
Consumer Insights and Market Research. Turns data into insights, which are actionable and relevant, and ensures these insights are addressed through adequate ideas and plans.
Brand Management. Leads and supports all peers as well as the Distribution Partners with their projects. Collaborates & ensures synergy on any trade/marketing initiatives. Works closely with the CMO and international teams to share learnings and best practices. Supports the CMO through conducting brand training.
Advertising and Creative. In strong collaboration with the respective marketing functions creates branding and ATL/BTL communication for specific marketing projects. Develops and implements the ideal country (Cz/Sk) advertising plan with the right level of digital and social media integration. Works closely with the Digital Manager to amplify the impact of advertising on own website. Controls agencies to ensure correct contractual set-up and strong working relationships to deliver world class creative output.
Product and Packaging Innovation. Leads and manages new product launches together with sales, finance and other marketing functions. Understands, which packaging and flavor solution addresses country-specific needs, as well as leads and manages the launch initiatives. Collects all learnings to share internationally.
General Management. Supports the CMO to develop and implement the business plan, including financial budgets/ P&L in co-operation with the marketing and sales team. Manages and maintains the agreed budget.
5+ years of experience in FMCG brand marketing.
Clear understanding of competitor activities and consumer behaviour in a brand and FMCG context.
Generates consumer insights and translates them in to successful brand initiatives.
Implements the business strategy successfully, while managing the team and associated people processes.
Strong analytical ability.
Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills.
High standard of integrity with a passion for the brand.
“Can-do” attitude with ability to focus on priorities and deliver quality results.
Bachelor or University degree
Fluent in written and spoken Czech and English, German would be helpful.
